1 OUR APPROACH

We are committed to working as hard as we can to be sustainable in every aspect of our business. We consider all that we can, including where we bank and where we manage our Super. We only work with businesses and institutions that are actively working towards a more sustainable future. Our goal is to be as transparent as possible when it comes to our integral brand values and we hope to inspire others to think critically about sustainable practices and learn more about practices that can alleviate any environmental impact.

2 LOCALITY

We support local growers and only use flowers grown here in Australia, sourced from close-by farms in Dural, Gosford, Southern Highlands, and Picton. It is incredibly important to us that we use fresh local flowers and develop strong meaningful connections with local communities. This also ensures that we minimise any emissions from transporting flowers and eliminate any interactions with toxic materials from chemically treated imported flowers.

3 NO PLASTIC POLICY

We have a strict no floral foam policy. Floral foam is a frequently used material in the floristry industry that is non-reusable or compostable. Instead of using floral foam in our floral arrangements, we use hand-made ceramic vessels made in Sydney that our designs can be placed in. For floral arches and more substantial floral designs, we will use more sustainable alternatives to floral foam. All of our bouquet wrapping and packaging are consciously considered; the bags we use for the wet wrap to hold water for deliveries is entirely compostable and all the paper we use is recyclable. Our ribbon is made from recycled silk, and our Jute string is made from natural fibers and is compostable.

4 MINIMISING WASTE

All our bouquets are made to order in an effort to minimise our waste. All the soft plastic that comes with the flowers we source at the Sydney Flower Market we recycle, sadly this plastic is currently unavoidable. We also ensure that all our waste is separated and disposed of as responsibly as possible.

5 SEASONAL-ONLY FLOWERS

We only source flowers that are naturally in season. Flowers that aren’t in season have to be artificially heated and transported across the world for usage. Because we only use in-season flowers, our bouquets change from week to week, allowing us to celebrate the natural rhythm of the seasons and make beautifully conscious bouquets.
